Plagiarism Policy
Journal of Cultural Literacy and Education (JCLE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal strongly condemns all forms of plagiarism and unethical publication practices.
All manuscripts submitted to JCLE will be screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin and other similarity-checking tools before being sent to reviewers. Manuscripts identified as containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or unethical citation practices will be immediately rejected by the editorial team.
The maximum similarity index tolerated by JCLE is below 20%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources. Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts carefully before submission to ensure originality and proper citation practices.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
-
Direct Plagiarism
Copying text, sentences, figures, tables, or ideas from another source without proper acknowledgment or citation. -
Substantial Plagiarism
Reproducing a significant portion of another author’s work without permission, citation, or acknowledgment. -
Paraphrasing Plagiarism
Rewriting another person’s ideas, arguments, or findings in different words without giving proper credit to the original source. -
Self-Plagiarism
Republishing one’s own previously published work, in whole or in part, without proper citation or editorial permission. -
Improper Citation
Failure to acknowledge sources accurately, including the omission of references for data, quotations, theories, or research findings obtained from other works.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly citing all referenced materials. Even unintentional plagiarism is considered a serious academic violation and may result in manuscript rejection or retraction after publication.
The editorial board reserves the right to reject, retract, or remove any manuscript or published article found to violate publication ethics, copyright regulations, or plagiarism standards.
JCLE is committed to promoting ethical scholarly publishing practices and follows internationally recognized standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.
